Manchester Airport - Pushing the boundaries
in ecommerce for the airline industry

Client — Manchester Airport Group
Type — Ecommerce
Deliverables — UX & UI Design, Style Guide

The goal was simple.
White label the existing e-commerce platform to sell to other airports. Manchester Airport already had an e-commerce platform, but it wasn’t scalable.

Approach

My first task was to highlight what we should change or be kept the same based on data and user insight I had carried out previously.

I proposed we created a design system to allow development to take place alongside to design. I also proposed a new look and feel that wasn’t branded as Manchester Airport, allowing other airports to be onboarded and then change the stylesheets to match their own branding.

User testing

While designing the new website, I was also creating A/B tests to run on the existing platform to help influence our direction and that our new designs would not only work, but would help increase metrics across the board.
