SHEFFIELD OLYMPIC LEGACY PARK - Bringing an olympic
park legacy to life.

Client — Loaf Creative
Type — Web
Deliverables — UX/UI Design

Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park had just gone through a brand refresh from Loaf Creative.

Their existing website was also difficult for users to find the information they needed, and was a difficult for their content team to update and release new pages.

I began the discovery process with a kickoff to establish the business goals, design strategy,
and the user audience. This led to 3 main goals:

1 / Easy to update and manage

The current website was proving difficult for the content team to update and manage. They had no way to create new pages that would be consistent.

2 / Inspire the next generation

The new website would need to be able to inspire and motivate the next generation.

3 / Encourage business sign-ups

As well as being primarily focused around sport, and science research, the park also offers offices that can be rented for businesses within the area.

Userflows and site architecture

There were 6 userflows for the different type of user bases that would visit the website.

I began by creating these within Figma, to then present back to the team, which would allow us to see where the gaps maybe for their current users, and where there might be additional opportunities.

Defining the visual design direction

Taking influence from the recent brand refresh, I looked to expand and translate this for the digital vision. Ensuring an inspiring aesthetic. Strong, inviting vibrant colours help bring the vision together.
